There are two main categories of membership, regular and student.

Regular Membership provides:

    • Option of paying extra to receive paper copies of ‘Biometrics’ and/or ‘JABES’;
    • Voting privileges;
    • Right to hold elected office in the society.

Student Membership:

    • Free membership;
    • Electronic access only to ‘Biometrics’, ‘Journal of Agricultural Biological and Environmental Statistics’ (JABES) and the ‘Biometric Bulletin’;
    • Must provide proof of full-time student status from the institution where enrolled;
    • No voting privileges or right to hold elected office in the society.

Along with these memberships, there are some additional special membership types. Senior Retiree membership is open to members who have been a Regular member for at least 10 years and are no longer gainfully employed prior to transferring to Senior Retiree member status. Senior retiree members enjoy all the rights of regular members, and half price membership costs.

Supporting Members are Regular members of another region who have elected to become a Supporting member of our region. A Regular member may become a supporting member in as many regions as they wish. Supporting members may not vote or hold any office in regions they support. Supporting members pay the international portion of the dues once and pay the additional regional dues to the region only.
